Bump Her? I Hardly Know Her.
According to a new USA TODAY/Gallup/Blogger Eileen Smith poll, Sen. Hillary Clinton has reclaimed her double-digit lead over Sen. Barack Obama only two weeks after they were tied for first. What could possibly have gone wrong for the Obama campaign? The leaked Hillary memo? The Stephen Spielberg endorsement? Or Amber Lee Ettinger’s crush on Obama?
Rudy Giuliani is leading the Republican side, followed by… Fred Thompson. Thompson is beating Sen. John McCain and he hasn’t even announced yet. Mitt Romney is in 4th place, which isn’t bad for “I, Robot.” Could the Republican candidates look any more pathetic?
As I drove to work this morning, a red Kia Spectra in front of me had a bumper sticker that said: “Fred Thompson Will Kick Hillary’s [A*ss].” Of course, the ‘A*ss’ was represented by a donkey. Isn’t it time to hang up the tired old party mascots? And if I see one more “Democrats Are Sexy! Who ever heard of a good piece of Elephant?” bumper sticker, I will have to kill the driver.
Let me get this straight. The GOP is hoping that a one-term senator who knocked up his high school girlfriend and developed a serious reputation as a ladies’ man (read: “ass-grabber”) before he remarried at the tender age of 60 (to a buxom blond 24 years his junior) will be their nominee.
McCain’s campaign manager Terry Nelson admits that Thompson will most likely get a bump when he formally announces his candidacy. Looks like he’s got a couple of bumps already.

No…not the GOP! Karl Rove is the Fred Thompson puppet master. Fred is a liar and a fraud. Not to mention a coward. He shames the GOP with his little “act”. I am a republican and will not vote for Fred if he gets the nomination. But dont get excited, I wont vote for the dems either. I will jsut sit it out. Fred is unfit to be CIC and I can not in good conscience be apart of putting him office. Too much at stake.

Re: 1. RepublicansAgainstFred
It’s so seldom we get Republicans on this blog. So, here’s a question – who are you backing?
/clueless democrats want to know

This is the kind of fresh, hard-hitting journalism I’ve come to expect from ITPT. And it’s clear from the expansion of your Republican readership (from zero to one) that they agree.
You’re tackling an issue that no one in the so-called “mainstream media,” or “media” for short, wants to touch: which of the current candidates and their significant others has the best “talking points?”
/pun intended.

The gal in the pic looks bigger, I mean, older than 36.
While I admire his taste and capacity, it doesn’t mean I’d support him for President. Its a crazy election when FT just might be the best the R’s can offal.
June 19th, 2007 at 12:18 pm
Looks like FT is taking somebody to one of those “purity balls” that I’ve heard about
/or maybe just to rehab

Re: 9. laura
I bet her knees are bigger, too.

Re: 10. lush
You know what they say about small knees.

Re: 9. laura
Because I had a talking points reduction so I would be taken more seriously.

Re: 12. Pink Lady
Let me know how that’s going.

Hey, who’s the hottie–err–nevermind.
Nice nightie.
June 19th, 2007 at 2:19 pm
Thompson’s wife still has her baby fat.
I still can’t believe how wrong I was about the Republicans and McCain. They’re not acting like Republicans any more. Nevertheless, a pro-choice Republican will not beat Hillary.
Clinton and Clark. That’s my bet. I have no clue what the Republicans will end up doing.

Hillary can’t possibly win. Why?

At least this way the Repubs can’t say, “If Hillary wins I’m moving to Canada.”

Re: 16. The Best Ever Death Metal Band in Denton
Seriously? How many R talk show hosts help rig that outcome?
Socialized medicine and Celine – the best Canada has to offer – and Clinton endorses them both!

The website is very promising…we ugly americans have much to learn from this other “culture”
June 19th, 2007 at 4:42 pm
There are a ton of Republicans reading this blog. They love the Pink Lady and her irreverent group of writers. Plus, the political prognostications are pretty accurate. Maybe they know who let the Obama Crush girl on the Texas Senate floor.
