Before leaving the White house, President Clinton on behalf of Hillary asked the National Archives to withhold from the public until 2012 many records of their time in the White House, including much of Hillary’s correspondence and her calendars. Development of nuclear energy is limited by the uranium supply. Of course if we were to turn our WMD into something useful, then that’s a good thing. I wouldn’t be a very good treehugger if I didn’t have some serious reservations about nukes, but coal-fired power plants are just plain nasty. Its going to take a long while to develop viable energy alternatives to oil and coal, and realistically nukes need to be considered. Nukes also don’t emit carbon pollution, which is important if you’re concerned about global climate change.
As far as corporations hedging their bets, well, of course they are. They have the money.
