This is not a liberal blog. I am not a liberal blogger. I like to think of myself as a non-partisan and objective visionary, mostly because nobody else does. Yet at times, I can’t help feeling lonely and isolated, much like I did in junior high school when I was three feet tall and wearing kid-size Palmetto jeans. And now, I find myself an outcast yet again.
Apparently there is a TEXAS PROGRESSIVE ALLIANCE (of which Trail Blazers is an active member) with its own TEXBLOG PAC that raises money for Democratic candidates. In truth, I was once part of the rebel alliance but I refused to travel to Tatooine to save Han from Jabba the Hutt.
The boys at Burnt Orange Report have raised more than $10,000 to help Texas Democrats, especially Rep. Rick Noriega in his bid to unseat John Cornyn. I can’t even raise enough money for a cup of Starbucks roast. So this is pretty impressive.
But because of the success of the Texas progressive alliance, NETROOTS NATION (formerly known as the YearlyKos convention) is coming to Austin. People, if you don’t know how terrifying this is, you don’t know your progressive political activists across the country.
The July 2008 convention will bring over 2,000 bloggers together, where they will wreak havoc on this fair city and prey upon our womenfolk. Forget about using WiFi at your local haunts. It will all be sucked up by NETROOTS NATION.
The trackback URL is here.
Yeah, you’re not liberal. And I’m not fond of martinis.
/Is it just you, or do they all have small knees?
Governor Mofo will get to turn the Global Warming up a notch to greet them. While on the subject of slow cooking, are they compatible with orphans, or are they better pickled?
Re: 2. treehugger
I’m pretty sure the bloggers prefer to be pickled.

Thanks for the love. Just to clarify, the PAC is set up to raise money and take back the Texas House. We are going to play in at least 6 races (the number we need to flip the House blue), and we have already started by raising nearly $2,000 for Dan Barrett (Democrat in HD-97) directly.
Thanks again!
Do you think there will be placards that say “WE HEART NORIEGA?”
Re: 2. treehugger
Get with the green program, Hugger. We only eat “Free Range Orphan Babies” now.
You’re not three feet tall anymore? That thanksgiving pic suggests that even three feet is a stretch for you.

4′11″ without the knee stretches?
Re: 9. Pink Lady
If you want to organize a fundraiser that auctions off dates of ITPT readers/commenters, then we’ll talk.
