On Wednesday afternoon, Claudia “Lady Bird” Johnson died at home of natural causes. She will be missed.

Lady Bird. What a class act. She brought beauty and grace to this state. May she rest in peace.

Very nice legacy. I’m glad she got to see a great bloom on the roadsides this year.

I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Johnson quite a number of times and she was every bit as impressive in person as she is reported to be. God Bless You, Lady Bird.

I never knew her first name. Isn’t that terrible. I met her once about 11 years ago. She was so sweet. Rest in Peace.

/she and her family watched every home-game from a private room at the top of the lbj museum. so cool.
