Ted ‘Kramer’ Nugent performed at Governor Perry’s inaugural ball Tuesday night, appearing in a Confederate flag t-shirt, carrying machine guns and yelling inappropriate comments about illegal immigrants. To be fair, Perry had specifically instructed Nugent to leave the machine guns at home. Plus, the Dixie Chicks were booked.

According to Perry spokesman Robert Black, “Ted Nugent is a good friend of the governor’s. He asked him if he would play at the inaugural. He didn’t put any stipulation of what he would play. Although even we were surprised when he took the stage in blackface.”

I hear that 39% of the attendees thought it was a laugh riot.

The Motor City Madman did do some fine work on an episode of Miami Vice, which also used his hypnotic “Little MIss Dangerous” as part of the soundtrack.

I think that was the scene in the strip club . . .

Right on Ted! Quit bellyaching over the Confederate Flag, you make it a bigger deal than it has to be. Everyone who has one or waves one is not a racist. As for comlaining about people not learning our language, he is right so be a little more tolerant, k?

Ted did in fact play said song. He had all the blue hairs and blue bloods singing along. I think Riddle was in the mosh pit. Good times…

Re: 8. Chris

If you’re gonna defend a guy who was gay-bashing and race-baiting while wearing the Confederate flag, you can’t really go lecturing us on tolerance,’k?

Hey Chris— “our language” ? Good Grief! Nugent is true nut case. He has some kind of hunting show on tv. He gives hunters a bad name.

I just hope Rick Perry’s bad taste in music will mobilize the hipster vote in the next election.

I’d love to meet the person in Perry’s operation with the incredibly lacking judgment (political, musical, social … ) to conclude that Ted Nugent was appropriate entertainment for an inaugural ball. Please tell me this person is not making any decisions about the direction of our great state.

My question is did he play the long version of “Stranglehold”? Just can’t imagine that at a Republic event. Guess that question claifies my age, ethnicity and gender.

If they happened to comment on this blog, it would actually be fun to see you harass that person mercilessly. Use your talents for good, not evil, and all that.

“…Everyone who has one or waves one is not a racist”.

Ummm, Chris? I regret I have to clue you in on this. Based on my lifetime of experiences, *everybody* who “waves” a Confederate flag at a public event while yelling “the language of exclusion” is, actually, a racist.

And, if they think they are not, they should realize that a significant proportion of the educated public will automatically assume they are indeed racist.

So, if you choose to quack like a duck, and walk like a duck, and wear feathers like a duck. . . Well, you might be a duck after all.

Ted Nugent is an ass*hole. He is counter to all things inclusive, life supporting, and globalist. He’s been that way since before he was “famous”. In fact, it’s the only reason Republicans know who he is.

Re: 20. DCat the Bureaucrat

The Ted is definitely opinionated does not fit in with the PC crowd, obviously. But to those who have problems with the Confederate flag need to get a life. Hand ringer’s making a big deal about that flag is the reason why people still use it! There are educated people out there that don’t have a problem with it and don’t associate it with racism.

For those that don’t think that illegals are a problem for Texas, and the country, are dillusional. I have first hand experience of a fine teaching hospital that had to close because of the illegal invasion. If english was the official language it would, at least, make it harder for them to ‘get along’ when here illegally.
