Texas Land Commissioner Jerry Patterson is trying to spread the word (via blogs - the last act of a desperate man?) about his efforts to raise money for an Internet cafe for soldiers in Taji, Iraq. I’m posting this because Commissioner Patterson is one of the few statewide elected officials who pays attention to me. The other is Lt. Gov. Dewhurst but only because he thinks I’m a 23-year-old student of constitutional law.
Patterson is lobbying legislators to donate some of their campaign funds to the Internet cafe, which is about as likely as legislators passing a comprehensive school finance bill.
If our soldiers in Iraq can access the Internets, they will be able to access soft porn, including In the Pink. Please call your state representatives and ask them why they’re not helping the Commish in this noble cause. Ask them why they hate freedom.

I find it hard to believe that they don’t just have RoadRunner High Speed Broadband and digital phone. And it would just be a crime against humanity if they didn’t have HBO. Where do they get their Big Love fix in Iraq? Are they savages?
